I’ve been trying to post a video for you tonight, but the site I use is under temporary maintenance So it looks like I will have to post it tomorrow.
Faith and I spent the morning at the lake. The three mile loop and a stop for coffee. (Yay, Kate!) By that point the sun was out and I wanted to let Faith play at the lakeside playground, but she was soooooo tired and begging for bed. So home we went.
She has been asking to go to the zoo in the morning, so we might aim at that. In the afternoon I am checking out a potential birthday gift for her Wednesday/Thursday will be our playdays with Madeline.
Oh a funny story I forgot to blog about a few weeks ago… I was riding in my car, and a sappy sad song came on the radio about a dad and a daughter. The song was from the dads perspective and he said when his daughter was a toddler he made time to dance with his little cinderella, because he knew what the prince didn’t know: midnight would come and his cinderlla would leave. In the next verse the daughter gets asked to the prom and she again asks her daddy to practice her dancing, and he says again he makes time to dance with cinderella because he knows what the prince doesn’t know: midnight would come and she would leave him. In the last verse the daughter has a ring on her hand, and even though the wedding is months away she asks her daddy to help her practice her dancing, and he makes time to dance with cinderella because he knows what the prince doesn’t know…. (same as before). And then of course, by getting married, she leaves. Sappy, yes, but sad! Anyway, with Faith in sight in my rearview mirror I looked back and said “Faith, will you live with Mommy and Daddy forver?” She smiled coyly, then shook her head and said “no.” I asked her why and she said “I don’t wanna stay forever.” Totally ruined the sappy moment.
So, did you watch the Superbowl??? I sort of did… moving back and forth from the room Faith was playing in, to the food table (trips for her and for me), and to the tv.
This week…
A few playdays with Madeline. Ausia’s 3rd birthday party on Saturday– a princess tea!
Near the top of our blog there is a tab/link called “2010 Calendar”. On that page you’ll find any scheduled trips , ours and also those coming to see us! If you’re planning a trip here yourself, take a look at the calendar and you’ll know what we have going on. Can’t wait to see you!!!
Today was beautiful and sunny… which led us to skip Faiths afternoon nap and head to “the Waterfront”– a waterfront strip of downtown Seattle, boasting the Seattle Art Museum (outdoor art), a park, the aquarium, seafood restaurants, shops, piers, etc.
The morning began with Faith's first donut, complete with sprinkles of course. She had a fun morning at home, and was excited it was Saturday. ("Daddy no work, Daddy play. Play with Faith.")

Faith was EXHAUSTED when we left, and made it home for a late afternoon nap. This means she’ll be up way too late tonight, but that’s okay.
So, we joined the Y. The brand new one is less than one mile from our house.
This morning was mine and Faith’s first visit. It began with a spinning class for me (indoor cycling led by some semi-pro bicyclists). A lot of standing and pedaling as if you were climbing up mountains and hills on your bike. The class is one hour.
Faith spent that time in the childrens area. They don’t keep your child if they cry though, so 45 minutes into my class and I was called out to get her. That’s pretty good for the first visit though, and we arrived early so technically she was in there for an hour.
At that point we headed to the pool for family/open swim time. They have awesome family changing rooms so you don’t have to be in the mass locker rooms. The family rooms lock, and have space for changing, a large bench, and a private shower. Perfect.
Faith and I swam for about 30 minutes and she was done. Tired. Me too!
She fell asleep the second we walked in and has slept for 2 and half hours already– still napping!!
Forgive the coughing there at the end of the video– we took it on… Friday, and she was still struggling with a cough (lingering from a cold). She is doing MUCH better now!!! (Yay!!!! No cough interuppting sleep!!!)

Faith comes to me all the time saying "Tickle me!!"
We had a fun day with Madeline today And then a fun dinner with neighbors and friends!
Tomorrow… a first time visit to the Y. We’ve joined a new Y in here in town, and tomorrow is my first go. Spin/cycling class. Faith will be in the childrens area during my class. And then once it’s over I’m going to take her to their pool. Here’s hoping she does well in the childrens area…
P.S You may be seeing a lot of her in the octopus t-shirt she has on in the video above. She LOVES it and cries when it’s in the washer/dryer. Puts it on as soon as it is out. She is even sleeping in it tonight.
Keep your eyes on www.babylegs.com for photos of Faith! There is one on there today– only from the waist down. It’s the one wearing the pink tutu, the heart tights, and carrying teacups. See below….
this is the one on their website today....
They have also posted a few photos on their facebook page, which I will paste below. Some of the pieces Faith wore haven’t come out for sale yet but have been talked about, so maybe there will be other photos of her up on the website soon. I will let you know if I see any!
from the photo shoot
this is similar to what is on the website today-- these tights aren't up for sale yet
these socks are part of an upcoming animal print theme-- also not on website for sale yet
The Seattle Childrens Museum has been hosting a Sesame Street exhibit since October, and the final day of it was today. We realized it yesterday and decided to take Faith today!
Here’s a mixture of videos and photos!!!
one more from the car…
It was CROWDED today- would have been better on a week day. But thankfully Faith is not one of those run-away-from-us kids.

The Sesame Street exhibit was on "Parts of the Body." This station was obviously about hands.

Faith and Mommy... Faith frustrated because we were trying to encourage her to walk around on her own, but it was too crowded for her to be comfortable doing so.

Faith and Mommy on Sesame Street. Faith was calling out "knock knock knock!" I think she really thought someone would come out.
We also explored the other areas of the museum, which included slides, wooded areas, child-size grocery stores, etc…

this is Ryans favorite picture-- me with "the look" while trying to navigate through the maze of children in a play kitchen area of a child-size restaurant... trying to get a tray and a fake taco for Faith.

In another area of the museum there was a waterfall/water table
